Flush DNS

1. Hit the Windows key to open the Start Menu.

  • ipconfig /release 
  • ipconfig /flushdns
  • ipconfig /renew 
  • netsh int ip reset

Disable Firewall

1. Hit the Windows key and search for Control Panel, then open it.

1. Hit the Windows + X key combo and then tap on Device Manager.

2. Afterward, in the Device Manager, expand the tab for Network Adapters.

3. Now, right-tap on the WAN Miniport (IP) and tap on Uninstall device.

4. Once asked to confirm uninstalling the driver, tap on Uninstall.

5. Do the same for the WAN Miniport (PPTP) & WAN Miniport (IPv6).

6. After that, restart your PC to reinstall the network adapter.

Disable Proxy Settings

1. Simply open the Settings app on your PC by pressing the Windows + I key combo.

Set Exception For UDP

If Windows 11 VPN Not Working, you can try setting up an exception for UDP. To set an exception for UDP, follow these easy steps given below-

  • In the Start Menu, search for Registry Editor then opens it.
  • In the Registry Editor, navigate to the following address-
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PolicyAgent
  • Now, on the right side, right-tap on the PolicyAgent and then tap on New and then on DWORD (32-Bit) Value.
  • Rename it to AssumeUDPEncapsulationContextOnSendRule.
  • Afterward, double-tap on the new key you created to edit it on the right side.
  • Set the Value Data to 2 and tap on OK to confirm
  • Now, restart your PC, and the issue should be fixed.

Reset Your PC

The methods outlined above should most likely resolve the VPN Not Working in Windows 11 problem. However, if the problem persists, you should try restarting your Windows 11 PC. To do so, follow the instructions below:

1. Simply open the Settings app on your Windows 11 PC.

2. Ensure you’re on the System section in the Settings.
